Spending Less on Mother’s Day

Posted on March 29, 2014 at 7:27 pm

Mother’s day is tomorrow and if you’re struggling to find a present then don’t worry there’s still time and you don’t have to spend a great deal of money either. Mothering Sunday is a day to appreciate your mother and it doesn’t necessarily mean expensive presents.

You can simply make your mother a card, perhaps back a cake, or make her breakfast in bed and it’s the personal gifts like these that can help you save money and provide a better present. If you wanted something that can be wrapped up then DVDs and CDs are relatively cheap, while books, slippers, and other forms of clothes can be ideal.

Remember you don’t always have to spend a lot on Mother’s Day, and you’ve probably heard this saying before, but it really is the thought that matters the most.

Save Money with Useful Advice from Giftxtras.co.uk

Gift Extras aims to provide our readers with some useful buying advice and shopping tips. To get our first post started we’re going to look into university equipment for students. So often, at university, students can at times struggle to make ends meet, and if they have no spare time to get a part time job on their full-time course, they may want to look into budget books, stationary, and ICT equipment.

Many books can be found at cheap prices when they are used and sold online, and people who have just finished their courses may look to sell their books online, and you can find ways to pick up really cheap instrumental publications.

University tends to involve a lot of ICT equipment and you must have your own laptop, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be flash, it just has to be reliable with a decent spec, and used computers can give you this advantage at a cheap price.

When it comes to stationary, the most important items you need to have include pens, highlighters and notepads, and as the year progresses you will need folders to organise your documents. Any budget stationary stores will have these necessary items at cheap prices, so shop around first.
