Is it too early to start Christmas Shopping?

Posted on September 29, 2014 at 6:24 pm

You may look at the calendar and panic, especially as there are only 12 weeks until Christmas! Don’t worry though, not many people are thinking about their shopping and the panic can finally kick in when the Christmas songs are played on the radio and in shops.

There is no need whatsoever to start Christmas shopping in September, while late October and November tend to be a bit more forgivable. There’s nothing wrong with doing your Christmas shopping early, but there is plenty of time, and it’s not really Christmas unless you’re stuck in a queue, in a packed out store with decorations left, right and centre.

There are bargains to be found early, but prices may come down further as we head closer to Christmas, especially for electrical items.

Cheap Pay as You Go Phones

Posted on September 12, 2014 at 1:29 pm

When you damage your phone and t goes into repair, it can be a bit of a nuisance, especially if you do not have insurance. That said, replacement phones can be really cheap, and a temporary solution could be buying a bargain pay as you go phone for less than £10.

The Nokia 106 is a prima example, and it’s essentially a phone for people that only want to make calls or send text messages and not much else. It will do the job though and you can’t deny it’s a bargain at £9. This is the perfect type of phone to have in the event of an emergency, and there’s never any harm in buying a backup phone, just in case.

There’s still a market for cheap phones and it can also make for a funny gift if you know somebody who is always losing or damaging their mobile phone.
